3 Reasons Every Toy Company Should Be On Kickstarter

You’ve got a great idea, friends keep telling you how your product should be sold in stores, and you want to move forward with your idea, now what? Kickstarter is a great way to do this and here are three reasons why.


1. Test Before you Invest
Have an idea, but not sure if everyone else will “get it?” We’ve all been there. With Kickstarter you can test out the sell-ability of a toy before you start production. Successful campaigns require great images, so it’s best to have a product sample to photograph. If the campaign reaches it’s funding goal… boom. You’ve proven market demand.


2. Expand the Brand
Simply having your project on the Kickstarter website will increase brand awareness since new eyes are seeing your product everyday. Besides Kickstarter’s viewers, most of the promotion is the responsibility of the campaign creator. Asking your community to share your campaign will additionally bring in new potential customers. The reason you’re on Kickstarter is to fund your toy project, so pick your funding goals wisely. Kickstarter provides helpful guidance on how to set your funding goals.
