Cinnamon Applesauce Heart Ornament
These simple ornaments from Katy Elliott are made with ingredients you likely already have in the pantry, and will make your home smell like the holidays.
What You’ll Need:
Applesauce
Cinnamon
Cloves (optional)
Heart Cookie Cutters
String
Method:
- Mix applesauce, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl.
- Roll out dough using additional cinnamon in place of flour so the rolling pin doesn’t stick.
- Cut out hearts of assorted shapes using cookie cutters.
- Using a skewer make a hole near the top of each heart.
- Bake; allow to set overnight.
- Loop a string through the top of each heart to finish the ornament.
